VicSapa train schedule is as follow:
- Depart Hanoi at 22:00 and arrive in Lao Cai at 5:55 next morning
- Depart Lao Cai at 21:30 and arrive in Hanoi at 5:30 next morning
PROS
Quality of services and equipments on VicSapa Express are one of the most excellent features of this train. It is the only train that offers a true luxury experience of traveling between Hanoi and Lao Cai. Guests who value luxury and privacy make no false choice in taking this train.
Another advantage this train is that, compared to some other trains, time frame of this train on Hanoi-Lao Cai route is more appropriate to most of the travelers as they arrive later in the day and have more time to sleep.
CONS
VicSapa Express ticket is more expensive than the rest of the trains and the amount can be several times higher than the standard train. Also, the train tickets are often prebooked well in advance due to limitted capacity.

In general, the quality of Vicsapa train is pretty good. Everything went well with our trip. But I have some complaints to make. The first one is that the train does not proceed directly to Sapa. It only stops at Lao Cai station. It takes our team about an hour to come to Sapa. The distance from Lao Cai station to our hotel is about 30 km. Another thing I think it would be that the departure of Vicsapa Express is little, only 1 departure at 10.00 everyday. Therefore, we had to arrange our schedule carefully so as not to miss the train back to Hanoi.

Personally, I think the ticket price on the Vicsapa train is a bit expensive. I recommend you book a return ticket to save up to 50% compared with booking a one way ticket. Anyway, traveling by train is a great way to broaden my horizons about the world. However, the departure time is fixed so therefore, I cannot choose another time.

Vicsapa Train have adequate facilities for cabins and restaurants. A carriage is used for high-class restaurants that are tranquil and have a big window for me to overlook the picturesque nature.

Traveling by train with my family from Hanoi to Sapa is an interesting experience for me. The interior is designed and decorated with wooden furniture. What I care for the most is the restroom, which is always kept well and full - equipped. Pillow and blanket are clean. The staff is very kind. One time I got into the wrong cabin, the staff enthusiastically found me and guided me to the correct one.

It is the only train that offers a true luxury experience for us between Hanoi and Lao Cai. My group of friends have high demands for service quality, I assume it’s really appropriate. It may be a false choice for people who aren't interested in luxury style in taking the train.

The train departs punctually from Hanoi to Sapa and I think it was a good sign of a well-organized company. Cabin clean and comfortable enough, polite staff, it was overall the fabulous experience.

Although the outside of the train needs some refurbishment, my journey was still good and worth every cent. Dinner in the dining carriage was quite good and well worth trying.

I think this is the best train in Vietnam with great comforts and services from Hanoi to Lao Cai. Each carriage will has two bathrooms, both were clean, well equipped and maintained. Bed was good enough for a good sleep.

The train was comfortable and clean. Cabin was compact but comfortable and intimate. Staff was excellent and look after us well. Free waters and snacks were available.
