Passengers aboard Sapaly Express are treated to a blend of comfort and luxury. The well-appointed sleeper cabins provide a cozy retreat, complete with crisp linens and attentive service. The dining car showcases an impressive culinary selection, featuring both local and international cuisines. The onboard staff, known for their warmth and professionalism, contributes to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the journey.
Types of ticket: one-way ticket and roundtrip ticket.
On the route Hanoi to Lao Cai, Sapaly Express goes schedule that departs from Hanoi at 22.00 pm, and arrives in Lao Cai Province at 6.17 am the following day. On reverse road, trains leave Lao Cai Province at 21.00 pm, and reaches Hanoi at 5.10 am the next morning. This is the fix schedule and it is only modified in case of seriously unexpected issue, such as bad weather or technical issues.
SP3: Depart Hanoi - Lao Cai: (22:00 – 06:17)
SP4: Depart Lao Cai - Hanoi (21:00 - 5:10)
PROS
Sapaly Express Train has a suitable time schedule of late departure and late arrival. With the night schedule like this, guests will not feel tired with an eight hour journey. On the other hand, staying in a cabin like a 3-star hotel’s room, guests can enjoy a good sleep. In the following day, when they get up, it is also the time that the train arrive.
CONS
There are only few options of entertaining activities when staying in the train. However, this is not a big problem because with this night train, tourists would prefer to sleep rather than join in leisure activities.

Good departure and arrival time. Sapaly Train was not very new but comfortable overall. We chose a 2-bed VIP cabin as suggested and it was a good choice. The bed was clean. Personal utilities such as wet towels, hair combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers are available. There were also snacks, water, and soft drinks included. Highly recommended!

We booked the night train from Sapa to Hanoi. The staff was enthusiastic and willing to assist us with any questions. The train itself needs an upgrade. However, the cabin is clean and comfortable for us. The toilet was okay. Water, coke, and chips in the room are a plus. Would recommend Sapaly Express Train to my friends.

My girlfriend and I booked the VIP 2 berths on Sapaly Express. The wash area was clean. The cabin was nice with enough amenities. They offered snacks, water, and soft drinks as well. A nice experience from Hanoi to Sapa overall.

The bed was okay. There was complimentary water and a snack for you. VIP cabin would be better. You will have more space for your backpacks and privacy.

There were only a few cabins on Sapaly which were nice for those avoiding the big crowds. We shared a 4-bed cabin with 2 other guests. The bed sheets were clean but the mattresses were a bit hard. The staff was friendly. The toilet was clean.
