Fanxipan offers daily train from Hanoi to Lao Cai with departing time at 22:00pm and arriving time at 06:00am. For the reverse route, the journey lasts from 21:00pm to 5:30am.

What disappointed me the most is the quality of the train. The train was old, smelly and there was not enough light in my cabin. I can’t read books because I'm afraid it will influence my eyes. The amenities were not as good as the Vietnam train. If I have a chance to come back to Sapa, I think I will choose another train.

The train goes through some well-known destinations at night. It really attracts me and my family. My family and I had a warm party right on the train, which was also an interesting experience that I got to try once in my life.

I love everything about the Sapa trip apart from the overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa. Passengers in other compartments were quite noisy so I couldn't get any sleep. I really want to rest after a long trip. Sometimes, insects fly around my cabin, which makes me so not comfortable.

Room design in classic style, providing us a warm space, quite suitable for couples or nuclear families. What I care about most is the quality of the bathroom. Facilities are quite good that are equipped with a wide range of amenities such as: handwash, shampoo, recycle bin, and so on.

I just had a trip from Hanoi to Lao Cai. The train I chose for this trip is Fanxipan Train. Because we were afraid of crowds, we booked it about 2 weeks in advance. Luckily, we got a 10% discount on the ticket price. Service quality is quite good.
