A Visit on Bike to Hill Tribal Villages
A tour for cycling lovers- You get quite a bit of cycling as exercises. Even so, as the terrain is not an easy route. Intermediate level of fitness is needed to finish this tour. The tour lasts for two days and you have a great chance of interacting with the local communities. The trip first takes you to Muong Hoa valley. Later on, you travel further to Ban Ho which is home to a couple of different ethnicities as well. You will have a short break at Su Pan after cycling to Muong Hoa Valley. From here you get down hill on bike to Thanh Phu village. In this village, you have your lunch filled with special local food. After lunch, Sin Chai village where Red Dao communities live is the next destination. Here is also the place where you spend the night in a bamboo hoot. The second day has an easier route for riding. You travel past by some small villages. Then, you can stop to visit a local school. Given their situation, donations in form of book, pen and clothes are very much welcome. This you may consider preparing before the trip. In this area, you may run into Xa Pho people which is truly a minority in the region. From Thanh Phu, you cycle forward to settle for lunch at Ban Ho. After lunch, you may spend your time for a tea cup or a quick swim in the river before going back to Sapa.

Day 1: Sapa – Su Pan - Thanh Phu - Sin Chai B
Your trip commence from Sapa before getting to Muong Hoa valley. The valley is residences of Black Hmong, Giay and Red Dao ethnic communities. From the road you have chance to see wonderful landscape of the highland and rice terraced fields. After a short rest in Su Pan, you continue cycling downhill to Thanh Phu village of Tay minority, where you have lunch inside a Tay House.
After lunch, you ride the bike to Sin Chai village of Red Dao minority, where you stay that night in a bamboo hut in the village.
Day 2: Sin Chai B – Nam Nhiu - My Son – Ban Ho – Sapa
The ride is easier to day. You cross by some tinny villages, then might cease at a local school and donate small gifts such as pens or books. Here if you lucky, you might see Xa Pho people, one of the tiniest tribal races in town. You also pass Thanh Phu Village and head to Ban Ho Village.
In Ban Ho lunch is offered in local house with local specialities. When the lunch finish, you have some walks to nearby river, where you might play under cold water here, or enjoy a cup of tea a Tay house before returning to Sapa.
