It was our first train trip. We booked the Chapa Express Train. The lounges in Hanoi and Lao Cai were beautiful. The berth size fitted us so well. It was a bit noisy for light sleepers like me, but it was well controlled with the earplugs. Morning arrival helped us make the most of the adventure. Highly recommended!
The 4-berth shared cabin is perfect for our group of 4. Comfortable and clean berths. Booking and receiving the tickets were easy with a great guide from staff. A small tip is booking early for the whole cabin and getting to the station at least 30mins early for ticket exchanging. Overall we enjoyed the trip!
Never been on a train and it turned out to be a great choice. I traveled on my own and booked a berth in the shared cabin. It had basic amenities but was quite comfy. There was a clean toilet at the end of the carriage. The schedule was just like advertised. Nothing was too much trouble. Exactly as I expected. Will recommend this experience to my friends.
